  • 26D - PTFE Packing

    26D - PTFE Packing

     Flexitallic 26D compression packing, is a soft packing constructed by X-braiding pure PTFE yarn.  Typical sealing applications include aggressive chemicals, foodstuffs and pharmaceuticals.

    • Temperature Range: 260 °C (500 °F) / -100 °C (-148 °F)
    • Pressure: Rotating – 2 MPa (290 psi), Valve – 20 MPa (2900 psi), Reciprocating – 15 MPa (2174 psi)
    • Max Speed: Rotating – 3 m/s (590 fpm) Valve – 2 m/s (394 fpm) Reciprocating – 1 m/s (197 fpm)
    • pH Range: 0 – 14
  • Pump Packing 26L

    Pump Packing 26L

     Flexitallic 26L can be used in rotary and reciprocating applications handling most chemical media. It is especially used in applications involving concentrated acids or where non-contamination of the product is required. The relatively soft and conformable nature of Flexitallic 26L enables sealing to be achieved with minimum gland pressure. Typical sealing applications include aggressive chemicals, foodstuffs and pharmaceuticals.

    • Temperature Range: 250 °C (482 °F) / -100 °C (-148 °F)
    • Max Pressure: Rotating – 7 MPa (1015 psi), Valve – 20 MPa (2900 psi), Reciprocating – 15 MPa (2174 psi)

    Pump Packing 45

     Flexitallic 45 compression packing, is a soft packing constructed by square -braiding high quality Cotton yarn heavily greased and graphited.  Typical sealing applications include hot and Cold water, aggressive chemicals, foodstuffs and pharmaceuticals.

    • Temperature Range: 120 °C (24 8 °F) / -20 °C (-5 °F)
    • Max Pressure: Rotating – 2.5 MPa (365 psi), Valve – 7 MPa (1015 psi), Reciprocating – 10 MPa (1450 psi)
    • Max Shaft Speed: Rotating – 5 m/s (984 fpm) Valve – 2 m/s (394 fpm) Reciprocating – 2 m/s (394 fpm)

  • Pump Packing 50

    Pump Packing 50

    Style 50 is an X-Braided compression packing, constructed from Ramie yarn heavily impregnated with PTFE. It has a relatively high level of chemical resistance, extremely wear resistant with low friction properties, resistant to pressure and does not swell or rot in water thus providing a long service life.

    Typical sealing applications include cold and warm fresh and sea water, potable water, solutions with solid particles, oils and solvents.

    • Temperature Range: 120 °C (24 8 °F) / -40 °C (-40 °F)
    • Max Pressure: Rotating – 4 MPa (580 psi), Valve – 7 MPa (1015 psi), Reciprocating – 100 MPa (14500 psi)
    • Max Shaft Speed: Rotating – 13 m/s (2559 fpm). Valve – 2 m/s (394 fpm), Reciprocating – 2 m/s (394 fpm)

  • 304 Carbon Yarn Packing

    304 Carbon Yarn Packing

    Black, flexible cross braid carbon yarn packing with temperature range (-85°C to 430°C) in pressure systems up to 20MPa. A high quality packing of yarn treated with high performance lubricant, with Zinc corrosion inhibitors supported with an Inconel wire aiding removal. Usage on rotating equipment with shaft speeds up to 20m/s in oxidising and reducing environment range ph 0 - 14. Particular used in petrochemical, power generation and chemical industries.

    • Temperature Range: 430 °C (806 °F) / -50 °C (-58 °F)
    • Max Pressure: Valve – Rotating – 2.5 MPa (362 psi), Valve – 20 MPa (2900 psi), Reciprocating – 10 MPa (1450 psi)

     Flexitallic 305 is a high quality packing constructed by square -braiding high purity Exfoliated Graphite.

    Applications:  Sealing high pressure, high temperature valves in the petrochemical industries.

    Flexitallic 306 is a high quality packing constructed by square -braiding high purity Exfoliated Graphite, reinforced with Inconel wire. This packing material is particularly suitable for sealing high pressure, high temperature valves in the petrochemical industries.

    • Temperature Range: 460 °C (860 °F) / 650 °C (1202°F) in Steam -200 °C (-328 °F)
    • Max Pressure: Rotating – 2.5 MPa (363 psi), Valve – 30 MPa (4350 psi), Reciprocating – 2.5 MPa (363 psi)

    Flexitallic 308 is a high quality Fugitive Emissions square braided packing using high purity Exfoliated Graphite, over-knitted with Inconel wire.  This packing material is particularly suitable for sealing high pressure, high temperature valves in oil & gas, petrochemical and general industries.

    • Temperature: 460 °C (860 °F) / 650 °C (1202°F) in Steam / -200 °C (-328 °F)

    Pump Packing 310

    310 is constructed by X-braiding high quality Carbon filament reinforced Graphite tape with a secondary reinforcement using additional strands of Carbon yarn. Suitable for most chemicals except strong oxidizing agents such as sulphuric and nitric acids in high concentrations, oleum and aqua-regia.

    • Temperature Range: 430 °C (806 °F) / 650°C (1202 °F) in Steam / -50 °C (-58 °F)

    Pump Packing 713L

    Flexitallic 713L is constructed by X-braiding air textured, continuous filament yarns, impregnated with PTFE dispersion and high quality break-in lubricant. Particularly suitable for mine de-watering pumps

    Pump Packing 774

    Flexitallic 774 compression packing, is constructed by X-braiding glass yarn impregnated with mineral oil and graphite. Particularly suitable for general service pumps

    Pump Packing 801

    801 is constructed by X-braiding graphite impregnated PTFE yarn with reinforced multi-filament Aramid yarn corners.  It is suitable for a wide range of chemical media including water, steam, salt solutions, alkalis, organic solvents, mild acids, hydrocarbons and moderate chemical services. Most suited for rotary and plunger pumps.

    • Temperature Range: 280 °C (536 °F) / -50 °C (-58 °F)
    • Max Pressure: Rotating – 2.5 MPa (362 psi) Valve – n/a Reciprocating – 25 MPa (3625 psi)

    802 is constructed by X-braiding white PTFE yarn with reinforced multi-filament Aramid yarn corners. Most suited for rotary and plunger pumps, mixers and valves.

    803 is constructed by X-braiding Acrylic yarns, impregnated with PTFE dispersion and high quality break-in lubricant. Sealing applications include water and mild chemicals in general industrial applications, suitable for contact with food and potable water.

    2001 is a high performance compression packing constructed by X-braiding high strength Aramid yarn treated with PTFE dispersion and a high temperature lubricant. Particularly recommended for pumping abrasive slurries.

    Enviroflex 500

    Enviroflex 500 is a high performance ‘Low Emission’ / ‘Fugitive Emission’ valve stem set supplied as a five ring set, comprising of three die-formed graphite rings and two braided (header and footer) end rings. The three central rings are die-formed using 99.85% purity exfoliated graphite. The two end rings are made from braided packing constructed from high purity expanded graphite over-knitted with Inconel wire. Available in solid ring form only (header and footer rings have a single split). NOT recommended for use with strong oxidising agents or alkali metals.

    Flexitallic Enviroflex™ Hot is a high performance, high temperature ‘Low Emission’ valve stem set supplied as a six or seven ring set, comprised of three central die-formed graphite rings using 99.85% purity exfoliated graphite, one braided graphite over-knitted with Inconel wire inner header ring, one inner footer Thermiculite™ TR160 ring and two braided Thermiculite™ TH894 (header and footer) end rings. Available in solid ring form only (braided graphite and Thermiculite™ rings have a single split). NOT recommended for use with strong oxidising agents, alkali metals, Hydrofluoric Acid and Fluorine gas.

    GR160 - Die-Formed Rings

     GR160 die-formed graphite rings are manufactured from high purity (99.85%), nuclear grade, exfoliated graphite and are primarily a high performance valve packing. Available in ring form, whole (solid) or split (single scarf cut or in halves). Shape and sizes are pre-determined by the tooling. NOT recommended for use with strong oxidising agents or alkali metals.

    • Temperature Range: 550 °C (1022 °F), Steam – 650 °C (1202 °F) ,Non-oxidising Media - >1600 °C (2912 °F) / -200 °C (-328 °F)

    TR 160 - Die-Formed Rings

    Flexitallic TR160 die-formed rings are manufactured from Thermiculite™ foil and have been primarily developed as a component part of a high performance high temperature valve packing. It is also suitable for static sealing applications such as valve bonnet seals. TR160 rings can be used across a wide range of chemical media including oils, solvents, acids and alkalis. Especially suitable for ‘Molten Salt’ applications. Not a dynamic seal. Shape and sizes pre-determined by the tooling.
